"I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting, teen issues, and personal empowerment. Although my theoretical orientation is eclectic, I borrow heavily from cognitive, behavioral, humanistic and family systems approaches. Additionally, I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist and Approved Consultant. Professionally, my theoretical approaches are both goal-oriented and strengths-based. Philosophically, I believe my clients have the knowledge necessary to resolve their presenting challenges; they simply seek therapeutic guidance in transcending that knowledge and applying new emotional/behavioral skills sets to those challenges. Oftentimes, reframing experiences positively impacts one's perspectives."
